Last week I went down to our local landscaping store, and asked the salesperson in there to help me pick out some plants that would be good to plant this time of year. In the past I have selected plants to put in the ground, and they ended up dying, because it was the wrong time of year to plant them. I had budgeted an amount for landscaping the yard this year and I haven’t used all the money in the budget yet and now it’s fall.
So as I was talking to the salesperson he guided me to the plans that would do well this time of year. I picked out some of the ones that I thought would work well, took them home and remembered and I’ve got to dig holes. Yes it turned out to be a bigger job than I had anticipated, and there was part of the time and was tied never thought of it, but now that it’s planted the yard looks great and I’m glad it happened. I think if I wouldn’t have had the budget, and some money in that category, I wouldn’t have done the yard. That’s one of the nice things about a budget, is that sometimes it moves is doing things that we may hesitate doing. Even the things we really want to do we sometimes put off.
